You don't need the relay. Just hook positives together and negatives together and you'll be fine. It will just act as one very large battery.

i had the relay hookd up the first time and every install i have seen with one has used it.. not sayin that i need it but i would rather use it since i bought it.. is there some kind of adapter i can use so i only have to run 1 set of RCAs instaead of having to run two sets?

I don't like the use of a relay that large because if it get stuck closed (which a large percentage of relays in cars unfortunatly do), it's a very large risk of fire. Even if you have the power cable fused, the risk of fire is pretty large. For a fuse of that size, the burn through time is several seconds, which is plenty of time to light something else on fire. Just hooking the batteries directly together is much simpler and more reliable. In my old set-up, I put the second battery right next to the amps, and used the terminals as my distro blocks (post clamp terminals with ring terminal mounts that can mount 3 rings per post, Stinger makes them)

As for the RCAs, look at the second set from the bottom, problem solved http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMa...0RCA%20Kables#
