Problem: Dashboard lit up and engine briefly lost power

I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 with the 2.7 L V-6 with 33K miles.

Over the last week on two different occasions, when accelerating from a stop the entire dashboard lit up (all gauges), the radio turned off, and the engine briefly lost power. Both times the car appeared to "reset" itself and then everything returned to normal seconds later except for the Sirius radio which only had channels 1 and 184. But after restarting the engine the radio returned to normal as well.

Any thoughts? Computer problem?

The on-board computer that manages the engine should be logging some error codes. Check with a qualified mechanic to decipher the error codes.

You don't necessarily have to take your car to a dealership. Just to a mechanic that you trust and can run diagnostics on your car.
