    CAPS LOCK OFF!!

Anyway, HCCA 15's like about 4-5 cubic foot per chamber ported. The subs were designed to go in ported boxes, not bandpass or sealed.

There is better for the money imo. Check at AQ HDC3 http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm or you can look at sundown audio. I am running (1) nightshade 15" off a sundown saz3000 and its a slot ported box with sub up port back tuned right under 36 hz and it is low and loud. Best score I got out of it was a 147.9 at the head

I have a Orion HCCA 12.2 and its amazing. I built a Vented box tuned to 38 hz. But this is my new box design. I noticed on the old box the lower notes were missing this should fix the problem. HCCA are best in ported and nothing else.
