A Good Story About Best Buy Install Bay

I went in there today to get some remote power wire to hook up my new lights in my car (will be installed this weekend), and he just hands me a 50-ft roll of wire for free!

He gave me a roll of Fosgate 16AWG twisted speaker wire. It'll do the job just fine ;)

Most of the installs I did would only use 5 feet or so. The customers didn't want the wire, so I kept it. I have 20-30 rolls of 16 gauge fosgate speaker wire. That is just the tip of the iceberg of the wire that I have from installing at Best Buy. I never bought wire, because I had so much of it.

I never would have expected that from Best Buy. From my experiences, most of the installers there don't really have a good grasp on car audio. I've seen them break seats during an install, incorrectly set gain levels, and even ground an amp to carpet (where the only source of ground was the sheet metal screw touching the ring terminal). But this guy seemed pretty knowledgeable, moreso than the RatShack personnel that tried telling me I can't use speaker wire to power lights.
