    Parts express speaker carpet...

me again. im gonna buy some speaker carpet from parts express. dilemma is, should i get the latex backed or the plain carpet? seems that the latex is more durable, but how does it compare to the plain stuff as far as installation?

I have never tried the PE carpet. I always bought mine from lowes or home depot. My best bet is get the thinest carpet you can get. The thicker it is, the harder to blend the edges. I really liked this type of carpet that was really thin and was carpet on both sides, so no backing. Use 3m spray glue or contact cement works. I have used other glues as well.
    Thats my 2 cents.

If you're working on curved or uneven surfaces, use the unbacked stuff, but if you're working on completely flat surfaces, the backed stuff is much easier to hid the seams with.
