    Kicker Solo X

Has anyone used the Solo X? The 18" Monster?!?!
    What would be better, 2 15" L7's or one 18" Solo X ??

From my understanding I have never tried it, the Solo X will do better then the L7s. Problem the Solo X is really exspensive oh well. But they seem to work well 10 cube enclosure tuned to 25hz should work great. Not many people I know have space for such enclosure I am sure u can go a smaller enclosure I just havent modeled or played with it. There is other 18" subs that work well also besides the Solo X.
    Thats my 2 cents.

You want a good 18" SPL sub, then check out the Cerwin Vega Stroker. 20 year old design that still kicks serious ass. Check out the RE MT as well.

    Solo X

Well, Yea, there will always be BETTER 18's but I can get them semi-cheap cuz of friends at local shops. I was wondering where would be a good place to get such a monstrous box, to fill most of the trunk without being custom and like fiberglass, and costing me more than the damn sub.

What are 2 subs, I could get, for around $600 that would hit harder than the L7's???

SPL over SQ, but I dont want horrible SQ, like most of the Audiobahns give.

Once again, I have to say Cerwin Vega Strokers, you can find them pretty cheap on ebay (there's only like 3 authorized shops in the whole country that sell them). They get VERY loud, and they have decent SQ, especially for what they are.

    Talking CvStroker

Allright, well what would hit harder, the (1) 18" CV Stroker
    or the (2) 15" L7s?
Of Course, I would feed the monster its rightly deserved 800 watts to each Voice Coil, coming from 2 Mtx Thunder 801D amps.

With that setup, you only be giving the sub 800 watts total, not 800 per VC. The 801D only puts out 400 at 4 ohms. You'd be better off running a single 1501D in 2 ohms for about 1500 watts. With the Stroker, don't be afraid of overpowering it either. If you burp a Stroker 18 at it's tuning frequency, it can take upwards of 6000 watts, probably more. A single 1501D and a Stroker 18 will work great for everyday driving.

Couldn't he get the 2ohm DC version so he could run the 801D at 2ohms per voice coil so he could feed each 800Watts??????

There isn't a 2 ohm DVC one, and if there is, it's been modified outside the factory.

You'll move more air with the 2 15"'s vs the x but the x handles more power and has greater excursion for deeper bass...the 2 15's will be louder...

I'd go for 2 solox 12"s with a max cube box...

As far as i understand the bigger the Sub the lower and louder it goes (arguabley) but if you want hard hitting bass id stick with the 2 smaller subs.

your first part was correct 90% of the time. However, the size of the subs has nothing to do with how "hard" they hit. The quality of the installation controls that.
