    eclpise head unit trouble

    i recently purchased an eclipse cd5441 head unit.The problem is i dont have the code for the unit so it wont work. Is there any way to find the codes ? the eclipse web site is not helping!

    Its some CD I believe u have to put into the cd player. If you lost the CD then go back to the authorized dealer you bought it from and then can get it unlocked. If you bought it used ask the guy who sold it to you. If he lost if your out of luck. Might be stolen who knows.

    Yep, Easy is correct.

    I never did set my security system on my Eclipse until the other day. I did it accidentally trying to change the time. Luckily I know which CD I had in there.

    If your dealing directly with eclipse, your goign to need your reciept and i believe the UPC off the box (i might be wrong with that one). Its hard to do and it is a pain in the ass, but it can be done if your the actual owner of the HU

    i purchased the head unit from a friend.he got shipped out to afghanistan so i dont have the box or reciept or anything.is there anything at all i can do or am i completely screwed.the only thing it does is flash on and off.i cant even open the cd player.
