Hi guys,

My friend has a 1990 oldsmobile 88 royale 4dr with 170000 miles. He came to visit me and all of the sudden the thing starts leaking gas. We checked it and it seems to be leaking from the fuel filter. After having someone check the lines it seems they are so corroded that the best bet would be to replace the fuel lines and filter. He doesn't want to spend too much on the car since he'll probably be getting rid of it in a few monthes but he'd like to have it for at least till december for work.
I was just wondering how much would this kinda fix cost including labor and parts at a garage, ball park figure is fine. He just needs to make a decision whether to go ahead with a fix or maybe call it quits with that thing. Blue book figure is only like 600 bucks. His friends might be able to do the replacement if he can get it home (he's from outta town about 3 hours away) and so he'd only have to pay for the part and pay for some way to get the darn thing home. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
