They are good amps, but they arent cheap. I mean if you have the money to spend on them not bad amps, since they are "audiophile" amps they will be a little underrated.
    Thats my 2 cents.

I get nervous when I hear the term "audiophile" it usually = overpriced, the guy wants $460 shipped for the kar 1000.2T. what do you think?

What do you think? Isn't that what counts?

If you think it's worth the money, then go for it.

BTW, how much power is that kar 1000.2T?

It depends on what you're running with it, and if it's new or used. If it's for subs, I would go with a cheaper Class D amp, now if it's for something else (I can't imagine what else with that much power), it would probably be worth it.

Basically is it worth it to you? Me I dont think it is, paying $450 for a 1000 watt used amp doesnt apeal to me. But thats just me, some people spend $$$$$ on a amp, so its all up to you man.
    Thats my 2 cents.

My question is, why do they even make car audio amps that are 400x2, or 500x2, or biggerx2, there are no possible uses for them, except for subs, and then they're over-priced for the power you get. Why not just a simple 800 or 1000 watt class D for $250?

Hey FordX, check it out, I'm #2 now, watch out Easy, I'm comin' for ya.

Its because some people like Class A/B amps there are 2 channel Class D and T amps also that arent too expsensive. I mean 2 Channel Amps have there advantages, get a good 200x2 amp for midbass duty always works ;). But for home audio big amps are a use, car audio not as much. And dont worry I post whore more then you haha always will.
    Thats my 2 cents.

I know there is a use for amps that size in home audio, and expecially pro audio, hell I use a 450x2 and a 850x2 amp every weekend. But I really don't see the point of using a bridged 400x2 class A/B amp for subs when a class D or T works just as well for cheaper.
