    Car Audio vs. Home Audio

What are the main differences between car audio drivers and home audio drivers? Are they designed differently, or are just the enclosures different? Would you use home audio products in your car (I am obviously partial to Adire), or vice versa?

    Hey man

You can use Home Audio drivers in car audio, some people do. Most Home audio drivers arent meant for IB so they wont work as well unless you have kicks. Also home audio is mostly 8 ohm and not 4 ohm. There are some drivers that can work in both. The tweeters in home audio are usually pretty big with huge flanges no too good for home audio. Home audio drivers are mostly more for on off axis lsitening while care audio is on more off axis listening. What drivers you specifically wondering about I can answer all your adire needs, and I know about most of the other home audio drivers you can buy.

Also lots of home audio drivers are shielded in car audio there is no need.

    Thats my 2 cents.
