X-over adjustments

Hi Easy E. I was wondering if you may help me with setting up the X-over settings for the Eclipse CD-5030. If anyone else has experience with setting X-overs, please feel free to share your advice as I am confused.
There are three different cross over channels Front, Rear, and Woofer. Then, there is the cutt-off frequency selection. This is the part where I am very confused. The Front/Rear have the selectable frequencies as follows:
63 Hz, 80 Hz, 100 Hz, 125 Hz, 160 Hz, 200 Hz, 250 Hz, 315 Hz, 400 Hz, 500 Hz,
630 Hz, 800 Hz, 1 kHz, 1.25 kHz, 1.6 kHz, 2 kHz, 2.5 kHz, 3.15 kHz, 4 kHz, 5 kHz,
6.3 kHz, 8 kHz, 10 kHz.
The Woofer has the selectable frequencies as follows:
20 Hz, 25 Hz, 31.5 Hz, 40 Hz, 50 Hz, 63 Hz, 80 Hz, 100 Hz, 125 Hz, 160 Hz, 200 Hz.
Second, there is the slope selection. There are the following slope settings:
"Pass", 6 dB/octave, 12 dB/octave, 18 dB/octave, or 24 dB/octave.
I'm guessing "Pass" means passive, but I'm not quite sure. I'm also guessing that the steeper the slope is the better. What would be your suggestion?
The equipment that I am using is factory Audi-BOSE components (comprised of a 6.5" midrange driver and a 1" tweeter) and the subwoofer is a 12W6v2-D4 powered by the JL 500/1. Thank you for any help or suggestions in advance.:confused:
Oh Easy E, I also found out that the microphone is for the blue tooth cellular phone talking, and not for RTA. So, if you have any RTA suggestions, please share.

Are you using an amp for any of your speakers and if so is the crossover on the amp set? If not then you should use the HU. For RTA I recommend using Praxis its free for what you need. You will need to get a nice RTA microphone. I use a Behringer ECM8000, you will also need a sound card with phantom power. I recommend the MobilePre USB from M-Audio. You will also need around a 8ft XLR microphone cable with male ends on each side. The whole setup is around $200-$225, so it is not cheap.

Hi Easy E. The only active cross over in my system at the moment is the LPF on the 500/1. I read your thread, Amplifier Settings Tutorial. I set the LPF at 80 Hz. Presently, that's the only cross over in my system. Thank you for the RTA recommendation. I look forward to obtaining all of that equipment some time in the not so distant future. Maybe I can get a part-time job next summer and do a little shopping. :)

Hi Easy E. I think your Amplifier Settings Tutorial already answered my question. I guess I just didn't read it carefully enough. I read the Cross over section. So, the LPF is set at 80 Hz for the subwoofer, which means (from what I read) that I should set the HPF on the HU to 80 Hz. I did this and it sounds just great.
